The Occupational Health & Safety division at Argyle Diamonds (As part of Rio Tinto) similarly commissioned Solace to design a Wellness Assessment Programme, namely to design and illustrate a set of made-up characters that would act as ambassadors of wellness at the Argyle Diamonds site.
The brief was to create the characters in the ‘obese category’ and over time, the characters would gradually lose weight after improving their overall eating and exercise ‘on site’. This was originally designed to change the culture within the organisation, and the characters acted as role models to the ‘real’ employees, setting goals month by month, changing bad habits and seeing positive progress in overall health and body shape.
For this programme which lasted over 12 months, we produced a range of wellness assessment booklets, designed and printed life size figures strategically located around the mining sites, embroidree for shirts and other clothing items to assist with the wellness assessment programme and additional upgrades to the characters themselves.
